I am an associate professor of Linguistics in the department of Linguistics at the University of Toronto.

I am interested in the study of meaning in language, in particular as it relates to the structure of words and sentences (morphosyntax), and how it is affected by cross-linguistic variation. I am also engaged in language documentation and digital linguistics. A significant part of my work is dedicated to the study of Mbyá, a Guaraní language spoken in Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.

More information on my research is available here.
